Who are we?

We are Scott and Debbie Fitzsimmons, the founders of Equip-n-Go.  We have been married for 25 years this December and we have been ministering to people in many different capacities for the same 25 years.   We have 5 children, ages ranging from 13-23.  We currently live in Lakeland, FL, but spent most of our lives in upstate NY, near Lake Ontario.

What do we do?

My husband Scott is an evangelist at heart and he has found the most effective place for him to do the Lord's work is "on the spot" in the streets, as he went about his business.  Most of the ministry I did was in the form of teaching, encouraging and the prophetic ministry.   But… in recent years the Lord has fused our ministries together.  We have learned to be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit as we go out.  Many times the Lord has used us together to help people at Wal-Mart, garage sales, the grocery store, the dentist office, the gym, etc.  The people we've met needed healing, direction, salvation, deliverance, encouragement, etc.

So…what are we doing today??

So....today we are making public, or launching our vision for what God has put in our hearts to do.  We are continuing the ministry that God has had us doing for the past 25 years, but today we are giving it a new beginning, birthing it so to speak.  We are concentrating fully on Equip-n-Go.  So welcome one and all… to Equip-n-Go Ministries!   Funny name...right?   But in a nutshell that's what we want to do.

What is Equip-n-Go?

Scott and I will continue to go out into the public arena and lead people to the Lord, pray for the sick, give prophetic words, encourage and exhort.  We will continue to do whatever the Holy Spirit is leading us to do with individual people or families.   But now…we are going to take it to the next level!   We are going to invite others to be trained, people who have a heart to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the public arena.  We will pray together, seek the Lord for direction, minister to each other when needed, and then we'll go out together into our community.   Some of us will be led to go to the mall, others to the bowling alley, and others to the hospital....there's no limit to where we can go.   Then we'll reconvene at our home to share stories of what God has accomplished that day.  We are basically missionaries in our own backyard.  

 I will then blog some of those stories and things we’ve learned right here.   That way our work will be an encouragement to others and inspire you to go out and do the same!  

So now that it is written…so let it be done!  JJ  Yeah!! We have launched!!!   Next update will be the amazing stories of our adventures in Christ!!!
